Rupa is committed towards continuous improvisation of its systems and technologies to enhance the energy management at the organization.
At our Domjur dyeing unit, we have incorporated a steam heat recovery system. This allows us to make full utilization of the energy carried out by the outgoing steam. The heat of the steam is used judiciously for drying the dyed fabric, heating the water to boiler drum and compactioning the fabric before packaging.
We understand that water is a scarce resource and continue to optimise our water consumption across all our plants and offices.
Our primary sources of water includes ground water and third party vendors.
The Company’s dyeing unit at Domjur is in the process of developing a solution to eliminate the use of salts in the dyeing process by using its own R&D. The Company has successfully run the pilot and will be implementing the process for the entire plant in near future.
Our focus is on the optimization of our processes and operations to minimize material use with maximum production.
We ensure the judicious use of raw materials and all available resources are at Rupa.
We have set ourselves the commitment to reduce waste generation and conduct methodical waste management across all our manufacturing units and offices.
Our attention towards optimized production fosters our initiative towards minimizing waste.
Our approach is centred around the protection of the biodiversity and environment around us. We make continuous efforts in mitigating any form of negative environmental impact on the natural habitats around us,thereby conserving the flora and fauna.
As a progressive apparel brand, we have set our priorities when it comes to product packaging. We strive towards using eco-friendly packaging materials and are also exploring into using recycled and reused packaging materials.
